Small Business I once wrote for a local magazine covering lifestyle topics such as where to shop and eat in town. The best part is interviewing small business owners, learning about their daily lives and motivations, and sharing their stories. Community Service Early in my career, when I was building my resume, I relied on previous volunteer experiences to showcase my diverse skills and interests. I was an active member of the college volunteer organization and even did some social media volunteer work for non-profits after graduation. What We Like: Adding volunteer work to your interests section on your resume can showcase your passion for a specific cause. This is especially helpful if the reason is relevant to for. Hobbies like drawing and painting are a great way to exercise and express your creativity.
